Samurai Champloo
Because why not? Samurai Champloo is definitely full of some dope ass action scenes but let’s not forget about other things like the amazing soundtrack and such an amazing story. Samurai Champloo has one of the most creative plots and you’ll surely catch the glimpse of beatboxing, graffiti, dope music, weird people and their ever more weirder stories. Let’s not forget about the episode where Jin actually got himself and the whole town stoned while fighting the Tengu clan.
Dead Leaves
In my seven some years of being an anime fan, I can honestly say I have never ever seen anything quite like “Dead Leaves”. To call it insane would be the understatement of the century. “Dead Leaves” is downright confusing. It’s the show that you pick up off the shelf and wonder “Why in the heck I am watching this.”
“Hey baby, ever made it with a WOOOORM?”

FLCL
FLCL is the quintessential stoner anime. It’s trippy visuals, archaic story (which is allegedly about puberty), and chill soundtrack by The Pillows make for perfect viewing. The story is about Naota Nandaba an ordinary sixth grader living in a city where nothing amazing ever seems to happen. After his brother Tasuku leaves town to play baseball in America, Naota takes it upon himself to look after everything Tasuku left behind—from his top bunk bed to his ex-girlfriend Mamimi Samejima, who hasn’t stopped clinging to Naota since Tasuku left.
Nekojiru-sou
Freaky, psychedelic, a journey filled with random happenings, surreal visual style, Have trippy visuals that are related to a dark theme. Nekojiru-sou involves a cat venturing through strangeness. It has a simple plot that could be described as a single event, yet that event spurs off into numerous unexplainable situations.
Redline
Every so often, an experience comes along that kicks you in the face. A racing film at heart, there are intense action scenes and gorgeous visuals that raise the bar for animation in the film. Redline is a galactic racing series pumped with spectacular colorful animation, dirty weapon-filled demolition racing, and enough badass adrenaline to kill several large elephants. This series has a comic style set in space, and the down-on-his-luck protagonist has to rebuild himself and his resolve to win the race and get the girl at the sacrifice of his own body.
Mawaru Penguindrum
Bright colors mixed with a dark storyline plus the experimental additions to the animation scattered about at nice intervals. start off very light-hearted with some comedy and action but as the story develops it turns into a more serious and dark story. The characters are unique and have a depth to them and the suspension slowly builds up to a grand finale.
C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control
This anime as you guessed revolves around “MONEY.” The anime has a creative visual animation with a hilarious plot. The protagonist Kimimaro Yoga could use a break. At nineteen years old, he’s not only a student at Heisei College of Economics, he’s also a part-time employee and flat out broke. So when an eerie man offers the boy a special ATM card and an exorbitant amount of cash, Kimimaro gives in to temptation – but there’s a catch. *NO SPOILERS*

Afro Samurai
Afro Samurai has an intense, brilliantly choreographed, and lavishly animated swordfights and story that explore themes such as vengeance and the morality of killing. Afro Samurai is rife with energy, black comedy (in more ways than one), and an overall pop-culture vibe. It is a BADASS anime with the main character having a mysterious personality, he doesn’t talk much and doesn’t care about what is going on, but if anyone messes with him, he’ll take him out immediately.
Akira
Akira is one of the most spectacular anime out there. I mean Cyberpunk storyline filled with bikes and supernatural powers? Why not! The plot of Akira goes as- In 1988 the Japanese government drops an atomic bomb on Tokyo after ESP experiments on children go awry. In 2019, 31 years after the nuking of the city, Kaneda, a bike gang leader, tries to save his friend Tetsuo from a secret government project. He battles anti-government activists, greedy politicians, irresponsible scientists and a powerful military leader until Tetsuo’s supernatural powers suddenly manifest. A final battle is fought in Tokyo Olympiad exposing the experiment’s secrets.

Paprika
Now, this is one of my favorites, I don’t know if you have seen Inception movie but Paprika is like the Inception of Anime universe. This definitely one of the must-watch anime on the list. The plot goes as- Three scientists at the Foundation for Psychiatric Research fail to secure a device they’ve invented, the D.C. Mini, which allows people to record and watch their dreams. A thief uses the device to enter people’s minds, when awake, and distract them with their own dreams and those of others. Chaos ensues. The trio – Chiba, Tokita, and Shima – assisted by a police inspector and by a sprite named Paprika must try to identify the thief as they ward off the thief’s attacks on their own psyches. Dreams, reality, and the movies merge, while characters question the limits of science and the wisdom of Big Brother.
Haha Thank you :’D I love these kind of genres.
